Made of the finest quality merino wool, which provides powerful natural properties that make it ideal for year-round wear, regardless of the weather.

What's more, medical studies have shown that babies sleeping in merino wool settle more quickly, wake and cry less, sleep longer, and even gain weight faster.

100% Natural

Merino wool comes from Merino sheep, infused with nature’s ability to make it the perfect fiber to have against your baby’s skin.

Silky soft & hypoallergenic

Made of superfine merino wool that is supremely soft against baby’s skin.

Regulates body temperature

One of Merino’s key properties is the ability to keep a baby warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s warm, so you can be assured of the perfect temperature regulation for your little one (something they struggle with until they’re older!).

Warming even when wet

Nighttime accidents happen, but when merino wool gets wet, it retains its warming properties. Your baby will have a comfortable night’s sleep whatever the circumstances.

Ideal for layering

Superbly breathable, lightweight and silky soft - perfect worn on own or layered under clothing or a Woolino Sleep Bag.

    • Won’t wool itch my baby’s skin?

Absolutely not. We use only superfine merino wool, which unlike the traditional wool, feels like silk against baby’s delicate skin. In fact, because of its softness and unique breathability, it is perfect for treating conditions such as heat rash and eczema.

    • Isn’t merino wool too hot for warm temperatures/climates?

Our merino wool baby garments are lightweight and perfect for year-round wear. Merino helps naturally in regulating baby’s body temperature. It creates a micro-climate around them, gaining or losing heat as required to produce warmth in cold conditions and enhance cooling effects in warm conditions.

    • Woolino merino wool garments seems rather thin, should I worry whether it’ll keep my child warm?

Merino provides warmth without having to be bulky. Unlike traditional wool, the finesse of the Merino fiber allows for a very fine spun yarn and knit fabric. Because of the way fine Merino fibers are crimped together, it has greater density than other fibers, which allows it to retain heat better than other thicker fabric.

    • How do I know if my child is hot or cold?

Please check if your baby is hot or cold while sleeping by touching her tummy or behind her neck. Touching baby’s hands and feet are NOT good indications of their actual body temperature.

    • Do Woolino garments need to be washed before the first use?

No, it is not required to wash your Woolino garment prior wearing. When you wash it, please follow the care instructions carefully.

      • Why does wool smell when it gets wet?

There is an odor associated with wet wool, sometimes described as a "wet dog", "burned", or "perm" smell. This particular smell of wet wool is present because we use natural merino wool that has been minimally processed in order to preserve the lanolin content inside the wool.

Lanolin is naturally present in merino wool and is responsible for giving wool all of the great properties that we love: wicks away sweat, resists stains, feels soft to the touch, stays elastic, and resists bacteria and odors. Wool is a natural product. Even if you have multiple products, one may have a higher lanolin content than the other, accounting for a difference in smell.

You should not notice this smell at all when the product is completely dry. Over time, the smell will be less and less noticeable after washing as the lanolin content in the wool dissipates.

      • How to remove stains from wool?

Stains should be treated immediately. Do not apply any form of heat, as this tends to fix most stains making them more difficult to remove.
Rinse the stain immediately and thoroughly in cold water. Then, apply one of these two homemade stain remover mixtures that we recommend:

      1. The preferred option is a mixture of liquid laundry detergent and a few drops of white vinegar. Cover the stain with the mixture and allow the liquid to sit on the stain for at least an hour. Blot the stained area gently with a cloth before rinsing thoroughly with clean water. Repeat if necessary.
      2. Another option is a mixture of one part (1 Tsp) dish soap and two parts (2 Tsp) Hydrogen Peroxide (3%). Apply some of the mixture over the stain and let it sit for several hours. Wash afterwards as usual.

When ready to wash, check the product care tag for best results. Following our recommended care instructions will ensure the best possible wear while maintaining & prolonging the life of your Woolino.

The gown is very soft and color is as-expected. I washed it once and air dried it... All seems good! Have not used it on baby yet... :)

Love these nightgowns! We still use them into 9 mos. Baby sleeps so well in them, and makes for easy pottying and diaper changes in the middle of the night. We purchased two of them, and they lasted us nearly the whole first year, with alternating daily use. Highly recommend!

Customer photo review of Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Blush

Our 3.5 month old loves her woolino gown. She has been having a little sleep regression and since wearing the gown to sleep has been doing much better sleeping 4-6 hrs in a row again. It’s super cozy without feeling heavy. Our baby is petit and the gown fits well seems like it will last through the winter maybe even spring. This is a good transition from swaddle with arms out, she had no problem adjusting. It also absorbs dampness which is great b/c she is very drooly right now! Natural fibers generally seem to be warmer, and calm her down quickly so we’re trying to stay away from nylon, elastane etc but hard to find affordable wool in the US! We will definitely be buying another for back up.

I needed something warm under sleep sack without wanting to layer tons. This is perfect. Keeps her cozy and I am confident she isn’t too cold or hot!

Customer photo review of Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Blue

These baby gowns are perfect. They’re so soft and keep my twins temperature regulated. If they get sweaty the wool absorbs it so they don’t get cold and clammy. The wool does have a very faint odor if it’s absorbing moisture, but that’s the lanolin doing its magic. I also cloth diaper and we have wool covers. Wool is wonderful and the quality of these gowns is superb. I only wish they had larger sizes of these too. I’ll be sad when my boys outgrow them. .

Customer photo review of Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Blush

My baby girl was born 9.5lbs and this is definitely a bit big, but we just roll up the sleeves. She’ll grow into it sure enough! It is sooo soft and cozy and allows for her little feet and legs to move around which is fantastic. We do safe sleep 7 bedsharing, and this is perfect just on its own for us since body heat counts as an additional layer.

Customer photo review of Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Sage

This gown is the best clothing purchase I have made for our son for these chilly winter nights. Before buying this gown, I was having to put him in three layers to keep him warm at night - which was a pain when it came to middle of the night diaper changes! After buying this gown, all he needs is the gown and his swaddle, and he stays toasty warm all night! It makes everything so much easier. And I love the color and feel! Also, if you air it out you truly don't need to wash it often. I just hang it over the crib after I dress him in the morning, and it is as good as new that night. I haven't noticed it holding any smells, besides the natural wool smell (which you really only smell when it is wet). I would definitely recommend anyone buy this! One note of caution: it says 0-6 months, but it is definitely on the larger side, which is perfect for my 3 month old to get lots of use out of it. But, it would have been too big for him as a newborn. So I would buy it, but maybe wait a month or two before you start using it with a new baby!

Absolutely I would recommend these products. They are soft, comfortable, and offer the best sleep for your baby (while helping you feel secure that your sweet one is not too hot or cold).

Customer photo review of Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Oat

We love woolino! Our first daughter lived in her 4 seasons sleep sack forever ( unzipped and still comfortable and then it transitioned into a cuddle blanket when she was finally just too big). With our newborn we knew immediately that we wanted to get the nightgown. We used the first so much that it was an easy choice to invest in a second. We also got an “imperfect” basic sleep sack which is amazing! Our sweet baby is sleeping longer, and comfortably even if she wets through her wool diaper cover (hint hint - woolino you should look into making those!). We love everything that we have gotten from them! My husband even wishes the toddler blanket was large enough for our bed! Great products!

Customer photo review of Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Oat

Our son was diagnosed with Craniosynostosis at 5 weeks of age. At 8 weeks he underwent corrective surgery and at 10 weeks his intensive helmet therapy began. Having his little noggin strapped into a foam-lined helmet for 23 hours a day posed many challenges. He had many heat rashes as we tried to figure out how to keep him cool enough, especially at night. I found your website when I was looking for solutions online. I loved the patterns and colours and they do a wonderful job keeping him cool enough at night! Thank you so much for helping us find such a cute solution to our problem.

Customer photo review of Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Oat

My daughter practically lived in this at night the winter after she was born- and it actually fit her until she was well over 1 year old! Super soft, stretchy, comfy and warm! Highly recommend! We did recently try the two piece pajamas and they are not the same thick material with stretch and were much too thin and tight, so will likely be sending back if they accept the return... this gown however was fantastic!

Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Oat

My June baby wore this from 2 months to 11 months. I wish we'd had more! Very helpful for elimination communication in the early days, too.

Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Blue

These are fabulous especially in the newborn days. My child has sensitive skin which we expected. This was the first thing we used after birth and his skin had no irritation, easy to remove fore skin to skin and diaper changes. I ordered 2 more before the end of the third night. 10/10 would recommend

Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Blue

I bought one for my daughter when she was born and loved it so much I bought one in every color! We live in Southeast Alaska where it is wet and cold nearly year round and this sleep gown is the best not just for sleep but for keeping my baby in any time. Cannot recommend enough.

Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Honey

This is my fifth baby and this newborn gown is a game changer. We love gowns for those late night diaper changes, and this one works even for our giant two-month-old, with lots of room to grow (even as he moves out of size 3 months in other clothes). He’s sleeping longer chunks and we feel great about merino, which he can wear night after night without washing (well, until there’s a blowout). Highly recommend.

Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Sage

We bought one of these before our baby was born and it has been a favorite. So much so that we ordered one for a friend who is expecting.

Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Blue

Love how soft and cozy to this gown is! Customer service was also fantastic, as our package was lost by Fedex. Woolino quickly reshipped a new package for us.

Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Sage

Can’t wait to use this! Our baby arrives in February it feels so soft and I have no doubt our baby will love being in it! We might need more once she arrives!

Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Blush

Our boy was born in July and I've struggled to find comfortable sleeping clothes for him. These gowns with any 1 tog sleep sack have been amazing. He's no longer waking up sweaty and I notice he's far more comfortable for far longer. Just love merino wool!

Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Blue

This is a new baby product for me. Doing lots research for my first grand girl. It’s soft, very roomy and she’s climate comfy all the time. I’m loving that it’s a sustainable fabric, but the wool factor sold me for Upper Michigan. I plan on following this clothing line!

Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Blush

These gowns are great - they regulate babe’s temperature and make getting ready for bed much easier. Our babe seems to love them.

Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Sage

Very nice quality, but it’s too big for my newborn granddaughter who is a little over 8 lbs. I wish these were also available in 0-3 month size for newborns.

Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Blush

If I could buy a million of these, I would. My kiddo LOVES these gowns, we have one in every color! Kept him nice and comfy this winter, and so easy for nighttime diaper changes.

Baby Gown, Merino Wool, 0-6 Months, Sage

The fabric is so soft and warm. It is perfect . I do wish you would make a newborn/infant size as the smallest one you sell( which I purchased) is too big for baby right now .
