Newborn babies have only a limited ability to regulate their body temperature. This luxuriously soft swaddling wrap made of pure superfine merino wool will keep your baby comfortable and snug from birth. As the baby grows and no longer needs to be swaddled, it will have many other great uses over time.

  • 100% Natural, made from silky-soft hypoallergenic Australian merino wool
  • Size: 39 x 35.5in (100 x 90cm)
  • 4-Season use. Unlike any other fiber, merino wool creates a microclimate around your baby's body and regulates their body temperature naturally. It helps keep your baby warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s hot
  • OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 label (23.HUS.59156, Hohenstein HTTI) this product has passed safety tests for the presence of harmful substances
  • Certified by the Woolmark Company, our products are sustainable and environmentally friendly
  • Keeps baby comfortable and dry even when 'accidents' occur as merino can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture before it feels damp
  • Naturally stretchy, easier to wrap, and stays in place better than other wraps
  • Naturally flame-resistant; Offers high UV protection
  • Unlike cocoon-shaped swaddles that babies outgrow quickly, it can be used for many other purposes when baby is no longer swaddled - a blanket for the stroller, car or crib, a nursing cover, a sunshade, and lots more
  • An ideal baby shower gift

100% Natural

Merino wool comes from Merino sheep, infused with nature’s ability to make it the perfect fiber to have against your baby’s skin.

Silky soft & hypoallergenic

Made of superfine merino wool that is supremely soft against baby’s skin.

Regulates body temperature

One of Merino’s key properties is the ability to keep a baby warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s warm, so you can be assured of the perfect temperature regulation for your little one (something they struggle with until they’re older!).

Warming even when wet

Nighttime accidents happen, but when merino wool gets wet, it retains its warming properties. Your baby will have a comfortable night’s sleep whatever the circumstances.

Ideal for layering

Superbly breathable, lightweight and silky soft - perfect worn on own or layered under clothing or a Woolino Sleep Bag.

Certifications

    • Won’t wool itch my baby’s skin?

Absolutely not. We use only superfine merino wool, which unlike the traditional wool, feels like silk against baby’s delicate skin. In fact, because of its softness and unique breathability, it is perfect for treating conditions such as heat rash and eczema.

    • Isn’t merino wool too hot for warm temperatures/climates?

Our merino wool baby garments are lightweight and perfect for year-round wear. Merino helps naturally in regulating baby’s body temperature. It creates a micro-climate around them, gaining or losing heat as required to produce warmth in cold conditions and enhance cooling effects in warm conditions.

    • Woolino merino wool garments seems rather thin, should I worry whether it’ll keep my child warm?

Merino provides warmth without having to be bulky. Unlike traditional wool, the finesse of the Merino fiber allows for a very fine spun yarn and knit fabric. Because of the way fine Merino fibers are crimped together, it has greater density than other fibers, which allows it to retain heat better than other thicker fabric.

    • How do I know if my child is hot or cold?

Please check if your baby is hot or cold while sleeping by touching her tummy or behind her neck. Touching baby’s hands and feet are NOT good indications of their actual body temperature.

    • Do Woolino garments need to be washed before the first use?

No, it is not required to wash your Woolino garment prior wearing. When you wash it, please follow the care instructions carefully.

      • Why does wool smell when it gets wet?

There is an odor associated with wet wool, sometimes described as a "wet dog", "burned", or "perm" smell. This particular smell of wet wool is present because we use natural merino wool that has been minimally processed in order to preserve the lanolin content inside the wool.

Lanolin is naturally present in merino wool and is responsible for giving wool all of the great properties that we love: wicks away sweat, resists stains, feels soft to the touch, stays elastic, and resists bacteria and odors. Wool is a natural product. Even if you have multiple products, one may have a higher lanolin content than the other, accounting for a difference in smell.

You should not notice this smell at all when the product is completely dry. Over time, the smell will be less and less noticeable after washing as the lanolin content in the wool dissipates.

      • How to remove stains from wool?

Stains should be treated immediately. Do not apply any form of heat, as this tends to fix most stains making them more difficult to remove.
Rinse the stain immediately and thoroughly in cold water. Then, apply one of these two homemade stain remover mixtures that we recommend:

      1. The preferred option is a mixture of liquid laundry detergent and a few drops of white vinegar. Cover the stain with the mixture and allow the liquid to sit on the stain for at least an hour. Blot the stained area gently with a cloth before rinsing thoroughly with clean water. Repeat if necessary.
      2. Another option is a mixture of one part (1 Tsp) dish soap and two parts (2 Tsp) Hydrogen Peroxide (3%). Apply some of the mixture over the stain and let it sit for several hours. Wash afterwards as usual.

When ready to wash, check the product care tag for best results. Following our recommended care instructions will ensure the best possible wear while maintaining & prolonging the life of your Woolino.

Customer photo review of Swaddle Blanket, Merino Wool, Newborn to 3 Months, Sage

This swaddle is absolutely perfect! It’s the only one I used for my newborn’s daytime naps, and it worked wonderfully. The sage color is beautiful—much better in person than it looks on the website. The blanket is also super easy to care for; I’ve washed it on a warm cycle multiple times, and it holds up great. I was initially torn between getting the swaddle or the stroller blanket, but I ended up buying both—and I’m so glad I did. For a winter baby, these thin yet cozy blankets were perfect for stroller walks in the bassinet, keeping my little one warm and snug. If you’re debating whether to buy them, don’t hesitate—get both! You won’t regret it.

Customer photo review of Swaddle Blanket, Merino Wool, Newborn to 3 Months, Oat

This is our absolute favorite swaddle we own! We were having such a hard time keeping our little one comfortable all night. Some swaddles seemed too warm, some not warm enough. The Woolino Merino wool swaddle is perfect for helping her maintain just the right temperature all night long. I love that it's thin and not at all bulky, because we're able to use it with our Snoo sleepers as well. The stretchiness of the weave also makes tight swaddling easy - our little burrito babe loves it :)

Customer photo review of Swaddle Blanket, Merino Wool, Newborn to 3 Months, Crystal Pink

We love woolino for our kiddos! Our oldest used her sleepsack for years and the toddler blanket has become a cherished friend. We knew with our next kiddo that we wanted more woolino for her! The swaddle is wonderfully soft and versatile. We use it for everything from trips in the carseat to a swaddle fir night. It’s stretchiness makes it easy to swaddle our daughter in and like all of Woolino’s products we are in love with it.

Customer photo review of Swaddle Blanket, Merino Wool, Newborn to 3 Months, Sheep

This was my special purchase for our 5th baby and I'm not sorry. Babies 3 and 4 both slept in woolino sleep sacks so I knew the feel and quality to anticipate. I brought it to the hospital when he was being born and it's been with him every day since. He's never liked being swaddled but this has become his lovey. It's held up well with daily use for the last 6 months. I hand wash in cold water with eucalan wool wash and hang dry. It dries really quickly if hung about a heater vent or on the laundry line outside. It's super soft and cozy. I hope he has it for years. It's August and we still use it for naps and in the car, among just caring it with him.(Always closely supervised, of course) Now, I'm trying to talk myself out of 'needing' woolino PJs for my 3 youngest boys.

Customer photo review of Swaddle Blanket, Merino Wool, Newborn to 3 Months, Sheep

Wanting our baby to know the comfort of wool we came across Woolino and were super pleased! The quality and finish are as good as any textiles we’ve had for ourselves. I highly recommend Woolino swaddle blankets!

Customer photo review of Swaddle Blanket, Merino Wool, Newborn to 3 Months, Sheep

Living in a humid climate, this Woolino swaddle is perfect. We have tried other swaddles but our baby sleeps much better in the Woolino swaddle. It stretches quite a bit so you don’t have to worry about swaddling too tight. Downside is; if you have a wriggly baby and unless you secure the hands/arms properly, the hands can pop out easily due to the stretchable fabric. Love the swaddle and love customer service who went out of their way to send overseas as we lost our parcel!

Customer photo review of Swaddle Blanket, Merino Wool, Newborn to 3 Months, Blue

These are by far our favorite swaddle blankets! They have the perfect stretch to allow a little movement but prevent startling. They work in hot and cold temps. From now on I will give one of these as a gift for any baby shower!

Swaddle Blanket, Merino Wool, Newborn to 3 Months, Blue

I bought this for my new granddaughter. Fall in New England has fluctuating temperatures. This swaddle is perfect and beautiful to touch and the color is so soothing. Its a banket its a swaddle and in a pinch a changing pad. Its been washed already with great results. I need and adult sized one.

Swaddle Blanket, Merino Wool, Newborn to 3 Months, Crystal Pink

This is my 2 year old’s special “blankie”. He used to wear the sleep sacks and rub the little embroidered sheep to help him fall asleep. When he stopped wearing the sleep sacks, we got this as his replacement. He loves this blanket so much and brings it everywhere! We have a few so that they can be washed without him noticing!

Swaddle Blanket, Merino Wool, Newborn to 3 Months, Blue

The swaddle blanket is beautifully soft and appears high quality. I can't wait to use it with my soon-to-be newborn! I look forward to it's multi-purpose functionality other than being used as a swaddle blanket.

Swaddle Blanket, Merino Wool, Newborn to 3 Months, Blue

This merino wool swaddle is a must-have for newborns! It’s super soft, breathable, and naturally regulates temperature, keeping my baby cozy in any season. The stretchy fabric makes wrapping easy, and it stays in place better than others. I love that it grows with my baby, doubling as a blanket, nursing cover, and more. A fantastic investment and the perfect baby shower gift!

Swaddle Blanket, Merino Wool, Newborn to 3 Months, Oat

With a winter baby this has been one of our most used baby items! It keeps baby nice and warm as a swaddle or blanket, but isn’t too heavy so we don’t worry about baby over heating. Also it’s just stretchy enough to get a nice secure swaddle. Would totally recommend!

Swaddle Blanket, Merino Wool, Newborn to 3 Months, Sage

Bought the swaddle cloth with Lambs & Sheep on it as part of a baby shower gift for my niece, along with a Sage Sleep Sack. My kids have them for their twins. Most used and favorite things they’ve had for the twins so far.
