Made with 89% superfine Australian merino wool, the Woolino Swaddle Bag is designed to help keep baby comfortable across a wider range of temperatures. Merino wool naturally helps regulate body temperature, providing warmth when needed while releasing excess heat and moisture to help reduce the risk of overheating.
For an extra-soft, womb-like feel, the merino fabric is gently brushed on the inside, creating a cozy layer next to baby’s delicate skin.

Swaddling can help newborns feel snug and settled, but correct fit and positioning are essential.
1. Always place your baby on their back for sleep
Lay the Swaddle Bag open. Place your baby on top with their shoulders correctly positioned at the neckline. Baby should always be placed on their back for sleep - never on their stomach or side while swaddled.
2. Wrap the internal wings
Position baby’s arms comfortably at their sides or across their chest. Bring the internal wings across baby’s upper body one at a time and secure them with the soft hook-and-loop closure. The wrap should feel snug and secure, but never tight enough to restrict breathing or chest expansion.
3. Keep the hips and legs free to move
Baby’s hips and knees should be able to bend naturally. Do not wrap tightly or straighten baby’s legs.
4. Zip the Swaddle Bag closed
Close the zipper completely, making sure the neckline sits securely around baby’s neck and cannot move up over the face. Check that no fabric is covering baby’s mouth or nose.
5. Check baby’s temperature
Dress baby appropriately for the room temperature and avoid excessive layers.
Check baby’s chest or back periodically. Baby should feel comfortably warm - not hot or sweaty. Keep baby’s head uncovered during sleep.
6. Make nighttime changes easier
For diaper changes, open the two-way zipper from the bottom while leaving the upper portion of the Swaddle Bag in place when practical. Always re-check the fit and fully secure the garment before returning baby to their sleep space.
7. Transition at the first signs of rolling
As soon as your baby shows signs of trying to roll, do not continue using the Swaddle Bag for sleeping with their arms swaddled inside. Open both arm openings and use the Swaddle Bag with both arms out.
Before signs of rolling begin, to make the transition gradual, you may introduce one arm out first, followed by both arms out.
